Travel has always been something that our family does. Obviously that is a huge reason why we our on this adventure to begin with. So when looking ahead to our October break, we started to think,"Where should we go?". The better question really though is,"Where can we go?". To clarify...when we enter China we will be entering on a 90 day visa. In that time we must apply for a more permanent work visa. Until we receive our work visas, which may not be until October or November, we are unable to exit and then re-enter China. So we now know that we will be touring China and will have to save destinations such as Vietnam and Thailand for another day. We have three big ideas that we are looking over. Below you will find some images related to each location. Because we are still mastering blogging on an iPad only, we are struggling with some formatting. The pictures are in the following "non-order": pics#1 and 2 are Sanya...#3,5, and 8 are Beijing....and #4,6 and 7 are Chengdu.
Idea #1: Beijing, China
Highlights: Great Wall, the Forbidden City, China's Capitol
Idea #2: Chengdu, China
Highlights: Chengdu Panda Base
Idea #3: Sanya, Hainan Island, China
Highlights: The Hawaii of China
I hope you have a wonderful experience on your trip! What are your living quarters like? Are they provided by the school or are you free (or responsible) to find your own place to live? I hear not too long ago they found additional parts of the Great Wall, which I don't exactly understand because where would it go? But oh, well.
ReplyDeleteLauren is in Canada right now and happy as a clam to be with her grandma. They celebrated Canada Day this previous weekend and Lauren always has a blast at this celebration. I tried to talk her into wearing her American Flag shirt on July 4th, but she is refusing because she is in Canada and doesn't want to be embarrassed.
Two years will go by fast, so have a wonderful time and take lots of pictures.
